How?

To apply for a Thupelo workshop, please click on the Application Form link here or on the left hand side of this page. In addition to the form, you must submit 6-8 images of recent work, a CV, letter of motivation and a copy of your ID or passport. When emailing these documents, please put your name in the subject heading of your email.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.  

When?

The next Thupelo workshop will be held around August/September 2012.

What?

Thupelo 2012 will host a 2 week workshop for artists of all mediums.
The workshop will provide successful artists with:
  • Space to work and live
  • 3 meals a day
  • Transport to and from the studios
  • Accommodation
  • Materials budget
The workshop will end with an open day exhibition.

Artists are expected to:
  • Live and work together for the 2 week period
  • Share and exchange ideas and dialogue
  • Present their work to the group and other visitors
The workshop does not cover:
  • Transport to and from the workshop
  • Insurance of any sort
  • Cost of transportation of any works created on the workshop

Thupelo are not responsible for the loss or damage of any personal property, please insure you have suitable insurance.

Why?

The workshop aims to encourage the exchange of ideas, experiences, techniques and disciplines, helping the artists to work towards finding new forms of expression.
