The artists selected to participate in this workshop were chosen from a wide range of applications. The information about the workshop was generally published and applications came from the Europe, USA, Thailand, South America and Africa. The selections were made by the working committee at Greatmore Studios and some of the resident artists.

Thupelo decided to use the studios at AMAC www.amac.org.za which was an inner city media and arts college. The heart of the workshop was in the studios. The interaction between artists took place on an individual basis and also in groups; during meal times and in the evening sessions.

The exhibition was held on the 15th December and was carefully selected and well presented. Stretchers were made for some of the work on canvas. The artists worked tirelessly in assisting each other with the presentations. The opening was attended by many people active in the art world in Cape Town, more so than ever before. The general attendance was really impressive. A performance by Tina Schouw (a well known local musician/singer/song writer) and a performance by a few local artists, (assembled by Garth Erasmus) were very well received.  The artists had a late lunch together before cleaning, packing and saying good bye.
